Moving Walls is the only Malaysian company to be named in the First Unilever Foundry 30 Southeast Asia and Australasia (SEAA), technology companies identified as most likely to affect technological and social change in the region.
The live unveiling of the first batch of Unilever Foundry30 SEAA took place at Millennial 20/20 in Singapore on 24 Oct 2017.
The focus on Asian startups is reflective of Unilever’s broader strategy to leverage Southeast Asia's sweet spot of talent, technology, and cash to drive real change.
According to Barbara Guerpillon, Unilever Foundry manager for Southeast Asia and Australia, "Unilever is looking for startups in the media and advertising category that are scalable at a regional level first and then at a global level, disruptive and bring innovative solutions to marketers, brands and functions."
Srikanth Ramachandran, executive director and founder of Moving Walls, hailed Unilever's Foundry initiative as the future of collaboration between global corporations and technology startups.
"We believe that Collaboration knows No Boundaries. This is a remarkably effective way to pilot disruptive, technology-based innovations for globally renowned brands," he said.
The companies were each chosen in one of five areas identified by Unilever as future areas of innovation; Retail; Media and Advertising; Brand and Content Innovation; Data, Insights and Personalization; and Sustainability and Social Impact.
